Isadora Duncan & the Return of Fire in Washington, D.C.!
March 9, 2018 - March 10, 2018
Event Navigation
Maria-Theresa Duncan honored her adopted mother, Isadora Duncan, in calling her ‘Daughter of Prometheus.’ In so doing she identified the great dancer as the inheritor of the Titanic force who stole fire from Olympus. Prometheus brought fire to humankind that our mortal race not remain cold, fearful and lost in darkness forever. By sun and candlelight and by the myths and stories that surround Isadora’s special brand of movement, that which is fire-quelling and fire-wielding in its energy, we shall dance to the warmth before the spring and the kindling of that fire within ourselves.
